ABOUT
Msc. Natural Resource Management – Climate Change
Bsc. Forestry
As a young professional, I have longed to make valuable contributions to the disciplines of Climate Change and Natural Resource Management, with the overarching motivation of promoting sustainable resource consumption and development. To this end my academic and professional background has granted me considerable exposure to both the practical and theoretical dimensions of Natural Resource Management, spanning key thematic areas such as environmental sciences, forestry, mining and climate change.
Over the years, I have functioned as an independent consultant, team leader and technical assistant on a number of environmental resource assessment projects conducting baseline data acquisition. In these capacities, my technical expertise was used to engage and inform a wide range of stakeholders on environmental and management best practices, based on National and International guiding principles. I possess good team leadership, strong communication, logistical support and analytical skills, complemented by an ability to learn and adapt quickly working either independently or collaboratively.
I consider myself a personable individual, who welcomes every opportunity to work collaboratively within any given dynamic and multi-cultural group. Professionalism, open-mindedness, flexibility and an unwavering commitment to both technical and non-technical tasks represent core values enshrined in my daily work ethic all of which are critical prerequisites in keeping with the direction of the Institute of Sustainable Development.
